We stepped into Vienna Fashion Week and quickly found ourselves falling for the drama of Nicolas Dudek’s collection.
One of the fun items with this year is the ability to both try to align the weeks with fun events, or in the case of Wien find out that those ‘fun events’ are happening the week(s) that we’re there. The girls were ecstatic to hear that we could get tickets to Vienna’s fashion week. They dreamed of finding fun fabrics to get, and what items they wanted to sew and create.
With layers of airy tulle, bold reds, crisp whites and deep blacks, the looks played with the contrast between the sweet innocence of Dalmatian puppies and something decidedly more mischievous. Think puppy love meets Cruella de Vil with plenty of volume.
Some looks felt delicate and almost angelic; others brought a darker, more theatrical edge. The result? A collection that was playful, unexpected and impossible to ignore.
Vienna clearly knows how to do culture, And apparently, it does fashion with a little bite, too. 🐾
